The Place of Understanding
In 2016, as an Artist-in-Residence, I was invited to explore the Pepperwood Preserve, over 3,000 acres of pristine redwood forest, oak woodland, and open meadows in a secluded area of Northern California’s Sonoma County. The following year I presented an exhibition of fifteen landscape paintings at the Dwight Center for Conservation Science. The show was called The Place of Understanding.
